Breast cancer... Already a huge challange both mentally and physically. Now imagine you have to go to one of the few capable hospitals providing radiotherapy in the metropolitan area, for 45 days straight! What would you do when you have no place to stay in 1-day distance? Not start to the treatment at all? Terminate your ongoing treatment?

Well, I'm running for SAĞKAL because most of the women from rural areas and neighbouring cities either aren't starting to the treatment or stopping their ongoing treatment and returning back home once they can't fight with the cancer and the accommodation problems at the same time anymore.

SAĞKAL is providing free accommodation, education and rehabilitation in a warm and supporting environment for both the patients and their companions during their treatment. SAĞKAL's three "Hope Workshop Homes" in Kahramanlar, Balçova and Bornova have hosted 1212 women and their companions for a total of 12048 nights between March 4, 2016 and March 31, 2023.

I need your support so that, through SAĞKAL, we can keep touching the lives of people in need.
